
Rebecca York Hanlon received her Masters of Music from the University of Redlands. After graduating, she moved to Taiwan with her soon to be husband, Steve, where they incorporated their love of music with storytelling while teaching English.
Her published works include co-authoring the international series Hip Hip Hooray! and My ABC Storybook. Her musical works include Reading House, I Can, YoYo and NaNa, Max and Mousy and various other works with C.K. Washington and Kaiser Kastle Publishing. At present she is a co-author and co-composer of the new reading series, Reader’s Theater, featuring traditional Chinese stories published by C.K. Washington.
In addition to being an author and teacher, she has been a school principal, curriculum developer, and teacher trainer. She co-starred in the hit English TV series for children, The ABC Bakery. She has also co-authored two online educational programs for Pearson/Longman called Teacher Development Interactive: Fundamentals of Teaching Young Learners and Pearson Certified Trainer.
Currently, Rebecca builds websites and apps to share creative ways to teach and learn. These platforms feature songs, stories, activities and games to make teaching and learning fun.
